About the Role

We are looking for a Quality Assurance Tester to join our growing team. 

The successful applicant would be responsible for helping to ensure the technical quality and gameplay experience of our title lineup. The candidate must be passionate about indie video games, be able to work to deadlines, have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, have a great eye for detail, a strong sense of initiative, and be able to work independently.  

Previous experience is preferred but may not be essential for the right candidate.   

This role will be based in our office in Chelford, Cheshire 

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and executing testing  

• Identifying and reporting both technical and UX related issues  

• Raising and maintaining issues in bug tracking software 

• Escalating critical faults to producers, production coordination, and developers 

• Continuous evaluation of the quality of active projects 

• Weekly reporting to line manager 

• Build management  

Essential Skills and Experience

• Ability to work with direction and under own initiative 

• Ability to plan and manage high work loads 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills 

Ideal Skills

• Experience in maintaining bug tracking software - Jira, Red Mine, AirTable, Mantis, etc... 

• Involvement in a project from concept to release 

• Experience in generating comprehensive test planning 

• Experience coordinating with external QA service providers 

• Understanding of code submission compliance on major platforms 

• Operational understanding of major platforms, including XBX|S and PS5
